DETRIMENTUM Unveils New Lineup; New Songs Available Online

January 23, 2009

U.K. extreme metallers DETRIMENTUM have posted a three-song pre-production recording of new material on their MySpace page. The tracks available for streaming are as follows:

01. Pestilence Shared with the Worms
02. Dark Sight Infernum
03. Dominus Detrimentum

In other news, the band has announced the addition of drummer Steve Powell (ANAAL NATHRAKH, THEOKTONY) to the group's ranks.

Commented guitarist Paul Wilkinson: "2008 has been a quite eventful year for the band, our full-length album came out in March, and we were genuinely humbled by the positive response it received among the underground metal press. On the flip side, after having a steady band line-up since 1999, we parted ways with our vocalist Eddie and just recently Rushy (drummer Jon Rushforth, INFECTED DISARRAY, ex-GOREROTTED) announced he was leaving to focus on his other projects.

"The silver lining has come in the form of new drummer Steve, whose formidable skin-bashing talent and enthusiasm has given DETRIMENTUM an incredible new lease of life! We simply can not wait to unleash the new face of the band on stage. Plus, with a new demo of material out and several more compositions nearing completion, we are well on the way to album #2. We are now actively seeking a label partner that may be interested in marketing and distributing our next release."

DETRIMENTUM's current lineup (pictured below):

Luke Robinson - Vocals
Jonathan Butlin - Guitar
Steve Powell - Drums
Phil Williams - Bass
Paul Wilkinson – Guitar

DETRIMENTUM released its debut full-length album, "Embracing This Deformity" in 2008 via U.K. label Grindethic Records.
